The NoSleep Podcast is a podcast dedicated to horror fiction, originating from a subreddit on the web forum Reddit.com named /r/Nosleep. It is one of the longest running podcasts of its kind, consistently producting episodes for 13 years. They feature stories facing various topics based around every aspect of the horror genre–ranging from existential dread, apocalyptic worlds, slashers, body horror, cosmic entities, creature features and more. Each week the podcast releases an approximately hour-long free-to-listen version as well as a paid download version which features the hour of content from the free version plus AT LEAST an additional hour of content (many episodes run much longer). The free-to-listen version can be accessed on every platform where you find your podcasts by simply searching their name. To access the premium content, they also offer a monthly subscription service which can be accessed conveniently on the most popular podcast delivery services shown below.

NoSleep Premium offers two tiers priced at $5/month (allowing subscribers to access the season currently in production) and a Premium Plus tier priced at $10/month (allowing subscribers to access their full back catalogue of 13 years of episodes, featuring over 20 seasons, each with 25 extended episodes as well a number of bonus episodes only released to subscribers at this tier) All of Scott Savino’s appearances on The NoSleep Podcast have been included as premium content and are unavailable to listen under the free-to-listen format so in order to listen, you will need to become a subscriber.

Scott Savino has been a faithful subscriber to this podcast for years. This podcast is what inspired him to begin writing. Having been a huge fan, he wrote his first story, #TransformationTuesday with no other goal but having it featured on this show. Looking back with years of retrospect, he finds it structurally a mess, that rambles incessantly, plot points are vaguely expressed, and most of the subtle foreshadowing he thought was so creative was very misunderstood by listeners…but everyone must start somewhere. To his great surprise, it was accepted by the podcast for narration, making his first written story also his first official paid publication. Following this first story, the podcast both rejected and continued to accept his work for production many times over the years and he hopes that listeners will notice a clear development from his freshman appearance, noting storytelling growth and better understanding in constructing cohesive narratives over the years of his features on this platform.

Dr. Creepen’s Dungeon is a weekly hour-long podcast presenting the very best in contemporary horror, fantasy and sci-fi fiction. New episodes are released every Thursday and he chooses to work exclusively with authors who have actively shared their stories with him for the specific purpose of having him read them to his audience. Because he values the work of the authors who contribute to his channel, he does the best job possible to interpret them in spoken form. His promise is that the content you’ll hear on his podcast is unique and content that you can’t find elsewhere. He also produces most of his own background music and uses video footage he has taken himself. You can catch all of the new stories before they appear on his podcast on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6pm EST or Midnight CET on his YouTube channel, Dr. Creepen’s Vault!

Season 02, Episode 66
“The Man Who Stalks The Space Between The Graves”

The Grey Rooms began as a disturbing dream its creator, Jason Wilson. He had this nightmare eight years ago which then became a reality that he decided to share.

The Grey Rooms is an anthology series with a variety of authors contributing their talents. The stories themselves are horror stories in different settings and with different characters, each story interconnected by an overarching storyline much to the dismay of the trapped and tormented protagonist of the main narrative who goes by the name of Raymond. Awaking disoriented and confused, Raymond finds himself trapped within The Grey Rooms; a supernatural prison that consists of many, mysterious doors overseen by a mysterious and malevolent Warden. In each chapter he is presented with a set of doors–ones that surely lead to more horrors and others that he hopes will lead him to salvation. With little choice otherwise, he must continue to enter door after Grey Room door if he ever hopes to escape his unending nightmare. With each door he chooses, Raymond finds himself a helpless passenger within the events of the story unfolding behind it. Will the next door he chooses lead to more horrors and injustices or finally to his escape? Does the door that leads to freedom even exist or does every doorway lead to more endless torment?

According to messages shared on their social media accounts, The Grey Rooms is currently experiencing an extended hiatus with many fans hoping for its eventual and triumphant return. You can still visit their website and listen to 4 seasons worth of episodes on their feed. The production quality is superb and it is definitely worth the listen.

Monsters Out of the Closet was a horror fiction podcast dedicated to proudly featuring spooky and strange stories, poetry, songs, and other creative content from diverse, exclusively LGBTQ+ voices.

Scott Savino is a proud member of the community and author of his own brand of LGBTQ+ horror, making a point to include diverse queer characters in nearly all of his stories and having one of them featured on this podcast exclusively showcasing the voices of other authors in his community was a great honor.

Sadly after 3 years of hosting the show, its creators found themselves in a position to no longer continue producing episodes, releasing their final show in 2021. Their feed has since been archived and is still available to listen for interested parties. Their website is also still available to view.
